It is with great sadness the we announce the passing of Alexander (Alexson) Genaille at the Swan River Lodge, September 24,2024. Alexander was born January 5th, 1941 to St. Pierre and Charlotte Genaille (nee Stevens).
He leaves to mourn his son's Charlie Pochel (Genaille) of Chicago Illinois, Randolph (Chummy) Fagnan of Winnipeg MB and daughter Gail Spence of Swan River MB. Grandchildren, Stanley Brass, Peter Brass, Jeffrey Brass. Chapan's Flora Houle, Chance Chartrand and Avery Houle, as well as other grand children and great grandchildren. Sister's Sarah Sutherland, Edna Genaille, brother Charles (Bossy) Genaille and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Alexson was predeceased by his mother Charlotte Stevens, father St. Pierre Genaille, brother's, Charles (Chucky) Genaille, Rodrick Stevens, Victor Genaille. Sister's, Bertha Ledoux, Mary Church, Alice Fagnan, and Mary Brass. Grandson's Ryan Brass and Darcy Brass. As well as numerous family members and friends.
Alexson was born and raised in Bowsman Ridge Manitoba. He obtained is education at the Lavender School. As he got older he accompanied his dad, Peter Genaille on the trap line, trapping and hunting in the Porcupine Mountains. This was his livelihood in the winter and summers were spent working for farmers assisting them where he was needed. Later in life he made a living as a pulp cutter and when it was essential, Alexson would assist the fire fighters throughout the province. Alexson was also a skilled tracker and an experienced horseman. He was also very talented in singing and playing guitar. He was very familiar with alot of the older country music.
Alexson will be sadly missed by his family and friends...
