It is with great sadness that the family of Mac Gray announces his passing on May 8, 2024 at the age of 95.
Mac will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Joy and their three children, Wayne (Sandy), Cindy, Ralph (Melody). Five Grandchildren; Melissa, Jennifer (Jon), Sean, Michael and Alicia (Damen).
Three Great-Grandchildren; Logan, Tuftin and Makena.
He is also survived by his sister, Lila Dixon and sister-in-law Donalda VanKleek.
Mac was born in Swan River on December 31, 1928. In his younger years, he worked in British Columbia on construction and in Alberta on a farm. On July 16, 1958, he married Joy Vessey. They moved to the farm on September 3, 1960, where they resided until July 2022. Over the years, he farmed with his Dad and brother Lloyd and later on with his sons until his retirement in his 80’s. He also drove school bus for 10 years, which he often shared memories of. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing hockey and curling. After retirement, he enjoyed watching sports on tv and checking up on the boys in the field.
Mac is predeceased by his parents Cecil & Flora Gray, brothers; Gordon (twin) and Lloyd (Ilys), sisters; Margaret (John) and Gwen. In-laws Charlie & Gladys Vessey. Brother-in-laws Fraser (Marguerite) Vessey and Jim VanKleek.
Mac/Dad/Grandpa/Great-Grandpa will never be forgotten and will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
Funeral Service and Interment
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
