Chelsea "Clarasis" Louise Cook

Chelsea left us peacefully on Sept 9, 2025, at the age of 30 years old. She left her 2 children behind Kenai (6) & Kyra Mentuck (4). Chelsea is the daughter of Charlene Cook and Deano Cook, and her stepmom Lena Genaille. Chelsea was born on August 3, 1995, in Swan River, Manitoba.

Chelsea was raised in Sapotaweyak Cree Nation. She also went to school at NDRMS. For her younger years she made lots of friends. She talked about growing up. She was a loving, loud, kind person. As she became older, she met the father of her children (late) Keith Mentuck (Boyd). He passed on July 15, 2025. She missed him dearly.

She liked attending treaty days and participating in activities with her Partner (Tootsie). She enjoyed being around family and cousins. Chelsea also loved her nieces and nephews so much.

She loved to help her Dad do grass every summer, taking her kids to Pebble Beach along with family. She also liked to tag along to go camp with Dad to Gravis Point. She did wood hauling with her brothers and sisters. She loved the outdoors.

Chelsea loved her children more than anything. She would give them everything they wanted.

As kids, we lived together. We fought, we laughed, we cried. We didn’t always show the love that we all had inside. We shared our dreams and plans, and some secrets too. All the memories we share is what bonds we now to you. We grew to find we have a love that is very strong today. It’s a love shared by our family.

You are our sister not by choice but by nature of our birth. I could not have chosen a better one. You are the best on earth. Our sister we are gonna miss you so much.

Sisters: Dakota (Stewart), Heavenleigh (Terry), Lesleigh, Wasescan, Chanelle (Rodney) Larissa, Tammy G., her twin little sisters Deanna and Deandra.

Brothers: Jordan, Mitchell, Jonas, Cage.

She also considered Rodrena (Billy), DJ (Harley), Julia, Summer, Lacey, Adrian and Dillon Cook as her other sisters and brothers.

Her Uncles: James (Grace) Cook, Gilbert (Grace) Cook, Christopher Cook, Gilbert (Darlene) Cook, Pearly Cook, Leroy Cook, Ovide Cook, Henry Cook, Herman (Camelia) Cook, Deborah (Aaron) Cook.

She loved her Godchildren Zoey Opecapo and Daine Cook.

Her nephews: Daine, Tavax Jr., Braden, Sebastian, Avery, Tavares.

Predeceased: Her Baby Kiara, Baby Cook-Leask, her Kookums Mina (Victor) Cook, Clara (Howard) Cook. Uncles Lambert Cook, Kevin Cook, Cory Cook, Robert Cook.
