Chris Todd Dufresne

A graveside service will be held from the Birchwood Cemetery, Swan River, Manitoba on Friday, August 6th, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Father  Norberto Monton will be officiating. Guests are asked to gather ten minutes prior to the service and to follow Covid 19 social distancing and mask mandates.

On Monday July 26th, 2021 Christopher (Chris) Todd Dufresne suddenly passed away in Swan River MB. He leaves to mourn, his children Sydney 14 and Noah 11 along with parents, George and Muriel Dufresne and brother Sean (Giselle) niece Casandra, nephew Brendan, along with many friends and family members. Christopher was predeceased by his brother Georgie.

Chris was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on July 23rd 1976. He spent his early childhood days in the community of Westgate and then later, on to Birch River where he attended school. Chris had a great love for hunting and fishing and spending time on the land. Chris joined his father George into the logging industry and then moved on to working in the mines in both Snow Lake and Thompson Manitoba. Chris was a hard worker and a very talented machine operator. 

Chis loved his family very much. His deep connection and love for both Sydney and Noah were witnessed in his dedication to them as their father and through the love he had for them. Chris very much enjoyed camping with his children at Overflow. Recently Chris would take Noah to the gravel pits to do some practice target shooting and back road driving lessons with Sydney.

Chris was working for Reihl’s Lumber & Logging at the time of his death. He will be eternally missed and never forgotten by those who love him.
