Denise Chartrand

It is with sadness at her passing but gratitude for her life that the family of Denise Rona Chartrand of The Pas, Manitoba on September 23rd, 2019 at the age of 51 years. She was born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan on August 24th, 1968 to the late Doris Jane Chartrand and the late Joseph Daniel Genaille.

Denise went to school in Barrows, Manitoba and ended up  completing her grade 12 at the Swan River Friendship Centre.

During Denise’s life she liked to fish, go blueberry picking and travel. One of her favourite things was visiting her kids on visiting nights. She worked at various places of employment throughout her years. Being formerly from Swan River, she left in 2015 until present to work in The Pas.

Denise had the opportunity to find love twice in her life; the first time with the late John Guiboche who she shares two children with (Hannah and Cheyenne Chartrand) and again with Ricky Mink, who she shares three children with (Kalvin, Angelina and Leland Chartrand).

Left to cherish her memory are: daughters, Hannah Louise Chartrand of Winnipeg, Cheyenne (Austin) Chartrand of Swan River, Kalvin Chartrand of Waterhen, Manitoba, Angelina    Chartrand of Thompson, Manitoba and Leland Chartrand of Thompson; brothers Ricky (Brenda) Chartrand of Kamsack, Saskatchewan and Peter Chartrand of Swan River; sisters Jane (Andrew) Chartrand of Swan River, Virginia Chartrand of Swan River, Gloria Chartrand of Kingston, Ontario and Rhonda Chartrand of Winnipeg; and one grandson, Jayvon Lepine.

Denise was predeceased by: her father Joseph O Genaille and mother Doris J Chartrand; nephew Arnold J Chartrand; grandfather Peter John Genaille; grandmother Margaret
