Destiny Marie Shootingstar Brass

Destiny Marie Shootingstar Brass was born in Swan River, Manitoba on Jult 21st, 2000 to Caroline Chartrand and Elvis Christopher Thomas Brass. She began her journey in the spirit world on November 26th, 2024.

She was well known as a mother, daughter, niece, auntie and friend. Destiny had a great sense of humour.

Destiny liked her sports, music and joking around with friends and family. She went to a few different schools to gain her education. She graduated with a grade 12 diploma through the Elbert Chartrand Friendship Centre in 2019.

Destiny had many ambitions but she always wanted to be a jingle dancer and to teach her daughter to dance.

Mouring Destiny’s passing are: her daughter, Shootingstar Brass; mother, Caroline Brass; sisters, Eva Brass, Ariah Brass, Latoya Chartrand & Summer Brass; brother, Presley Brass; Grandmothers, Evelyn Chartrand (Brass) and Vitaline Sinclair; Grandfather, Rod Sinclair as well as numerous Uncles, aunties, relatives and friends.

Destiny was preceased by her brother Christopher Brass and numerous other extended family members.

A wake will be held at the JP Youth Hall, Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation, MB on Friday, December 20th, 2024 beginning at 1:00PM. 

Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM on  Saturday, December 21st, 2024 at the JP Youth Hall, Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation, MB with Ella Church officiating.

Following the funeral services, cremation will take place and Destiny will be laid to rest at a later date.
