Douglas “Dale” Bell 

July 18, 1961 – 

May 20, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas “Dale” Bell, a loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, and great, great uncle, cherished friend, and a very talented musician, who left this world at the age of 63. His love for singing and playing instruments brought joy to those around him, and his presence could light up any room. Whether strumming his guitar or singing a heartfelt tune, his music reflected his warm soul, generosity, connected to those gifted musician whose passion for singing and playing music touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Born in Swan River, MB on July 18,1961, to Beatrice (Gosselin) and Ambroise Bell. Also, paternal father, Albert Brass. Dale's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his daughter Cassandra sloan-Bell and her children Aiden, Marshall, Trinity, and Zachery. Daughter Rachel (Christian) Okemow and her daughter Autumn. Two sisters, Noella LeBlanc and her four daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mae Bercier and her twin daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Brother in-law Robert Dufresne, and his son, and his family. Twin boys of the late brother Kenneth–and their families.  Late brother Garnnard’s late son’s children, and his’s three daughter’s and their families.   

He was pre-deceased by his parents, paternal father, brothers: Maurice, Garnnard, and Kenneth, nephews Shannon and Percy, granddaughter Trinity Laubmann, sister Marlene, Brother in-laws Charles and Elmer.

Dale will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious laughter, and his enduring love for music, and the many lives he touched wherever he went. He also loved to fish and cook. His legacy lives on in the memories he created. His music will live on with his granddaughter Autumn. May You Rest High on The Mountain!

Cremation will take place after the viewing and Blessing.  Burial later at the Bellsite Cemetery.
