Elizabeth "Camay" Agecoutay-Lennon Obituary

Elizabeth “Camay” Agecoutay- Lennon
Elizabeth was born July 8, 1952 to Alfred Agecoutay and Mabel Leclaire. She passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025 at the Swan Valley Lodge. She was 72 years old.
Elizabeth was known as Camay by everyone. Howard gave her the pet name “Squeeze” which she loved. Camay grew up in the Powell, Barrows and West Gate area. She went to school in West Gate, Barrows and Cranberry Portage. She was also enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work program. She worked with the special needs people at the Juniper Centre. She had the compassion and care for her clients and made sure they were properly cared and loved for.
She had two beautiful children Amber and JR that she raised on her own until she met the love of her life, Howard John Lennon. Camay and Howard were united in marriage outside of the old North Plex swimming pool on February 26, 1994. She gained two more beautiful children Helen and John whom she loved just as much. Together, they spent many happy years in Thompson until they relocated to Birch River after Howard retired from INCO.
Camay and Howard shared many adventures together such as hunting, fishing, camping, setting rabbit snares, gardening, canning and playing bingo. She really enjoyed having her grandchildren visit for the summer and holidays. She had a very special place in her heart for all animals, dogs, cats and everything in between. She went to church on Sundays and always remembered to say her nightly prayers.
Camay moved into the Swan Valley Lodge after her health started to deteriorate and she needed more specialized care. She was always happy when visitors came by and made sure to give everyone a laugh or two.
Camay leaves to mourn her beloved husband of 31 years, Howard Lennon; children Helen Mifflin and John Lennon; special niece Rosie (Nelson) Leask; brother Ivan Agecoutay and Mike Johnson, sisters Jackie St. Paul, Bernice Wrightson, Beverly (Sydney) McKay, Verna (Ron) Wrightson, Brenda Agecoutay, Charolette Wrightson, Patt Johnson and Carol Peyachew; her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her nephews and nieces. She also leaves to mourn Vern and Lindy Cork who were always there for her and went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of and her needs were met.
Camay is predeceased by her beloved children Amber Lenore and Bleu Jeremy James (JR), her grandson Travin Crook, her parents Alfred and Mabel, step-father Orville Wrightson, brothers Jimmy Agecoutay and Jerry Peyachew, sisters Rosemary Romaniuk and Agnes Lowe.

In keeping with Camay’s wishes, cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest at a later date.
