With love, we honour the life of Gail Catherine Brass. She was born in Swan River, Manitoba, on March 19, 1958, and raised in Bowman, where she created many of the memories that shaped her into the loving person we all knew.
Gail was married to Ronald Spence in Swan River. Her life was marked by both great joy and immense sorrow. We remember and honor her beautiful spirit, which endured the heartbreaking loss of her children, Ryan, Darcy, and Norman, as well as her brother, Charles Brass, and her parents, Mary Brass and her father Alexander Genaille Despite these hardships, Gail's love for her family never wavered.
She will be deeply missed by her sons, Peter, Stanley, and Jeffrey; her brother Terry Brass and his wife, Lori; and her sisters, Brenda Brass and her husband, Garry, Donna, and her girls Kat and Dawn.
Gail's legacy of love lives on through her granddaughter, Flora, and her great-grandson, Avery. They were a source of great joy and pride for her. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memory.
She loved to see the world and experience new places, but she was just as happy at home, enjoying the simple things. She found so much joy in the friendships she made at the friendship center, whether she was sharing a laugh or trying her luck at a game of bingo, or throwing in a 20 the slot machines.
She was also a master of connection. She loved to talk on the phone and would spend hours catching up with friends and family. I'll always remember her love for The Young and the Restless—it was a little ritual she enjoyed.
She loved nothing more than spending time with all of you. Her eyes would light up, especially when she was with her granddaughter, Flora, and her great-grandson, Avery. Their bond was something truly special and a testament to her loving heart.
