Jana Gott Obituary

Jana Lynn Gott suddenly passed away on March 10th, 2021 at Swan River Hospital, Swan River, MB.

Jana was born on July 27th, 1988 to Phyllis Genaille, and Lambert Gott, at Swan River. Left with fond memories of her passing; her two daughters Shaylynn Munro, Rosalie   Genaille; her son Clifford Genaille; her parents Phyllis Genaille (Wayne Corden) and Lambert Gott (Kim Gott); her siblings Inez Dano (Reynold), Tracy Leask (Henry), Ian Leask (Glenda), Lena Genaille (Jean), Leola Cook, Rena Henderson (Rick) Derry Hellwege, Gerilee Hanson (Zack), Robert Gott, Halana Gott (Dwayne); stepsister, Morgon Olson; God Parents, Brandy and Augustus Chartrand.

Jana’s physical beauty was a statement of sunglasses, her sundresses and many selfies on snapchat with her kids. Jana loved to sing any chance she got.

Jana grew up in Dawson Bay with her parents and siblings until her Kookum Wilma and Choom Dolphus took her to live with them. After the sudden passing of her Kookum   Wilma in 1997, Jana moved in with her auntie Janet who raised her as her very own along with Halana Gott. Jana was 16 years old when she found out she was pregnant with her first born daughter Shaylynn. She then moved out on her own when she turned 18 on  Genaille Bay on the metis side. She ventured out into the world. Throughout her younger years she helped watch Brandy and Gus’ boys who she loved deeply and took as her own. Then 6 years later she gave birth to surprisingly twins Rosalie and Clifford, November 19th, 2011.

In her spare time she loved going with her choom Dolphus, aunties, uncle, siblings, and cousins to camp in Duck Lake, and Kettle Hills to pick blueberries. She loved her many hunting and trapping adventures with her choom Dolphus and uncles.

She enjoyed walking around, visiting her besties Tamara, Lori, Rona, Diana, Windy, Aimee, Alexandra and Rhiana. Jana loved music, making her famous flour soup and fry bannock for any visitor that stopped by. She really loved when her auntie Dolly and her twins moved from The Pas to be closer to her. She also loved her auntie Janet who would always ensure she had everything she needed. Each visit she had with each of her siblings and their families, she held close to her heart. Most of her time she spent with her best friend/baby sister Halana and her family. Her dog Betty will greatly miss her mom Jana. She really loved her visits with step-dad Wayne.

Jana was predeceased by her older sister Tanya Leask; her uncle Alan; her cousin Chasity; aunties Tammy Genaille, Amanda Quill; her maternal grandparents Dolphus and Wilma Genaille, Flora and William Campeau; auntie Hilda Holstrom (witch); her chapans Bella and Joe Campeau; paternal grandparents; Catherine Gott and Micheal Gott; her step brother Micheal Olson; Chapan Melanie (Blennie) and Albert Gott. Jana has a great many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents meeting her in the spirit world.
