Jodi Jacob Obituary

While we are incredibly grateful for the life of Jodi Blair Jacobs, we are profoundly saddened at our loss of him. Jodi was born on September 25th, 1978 to Angela Jacobs and Leslie Munroe in Swan River, Manitoba. He passed away on June 5th, 2021 at the age of 42 years.

Jodi grew up and went to school in Mafeking, Birch River and Swan River. He worked at various jobs throughout his life including Russell Redi Mix, working as a diamond driller and most recently was employed at LP.

Jodi’s life was an adventure with a mix of many friendships, days spent fishing and playing guitar. He could always be counted on to help out when asked and despite the struggles he had of his own, Jodi was a true and loyal relative and friend. He seemed to be in good spirits the majority of the time and had a really good sense of humour.

What he considered to be his biggest and best accomplishment in his life was his relationship to Erin and the 8 children they were raising together. Blending a family isn’t always easy but it didn’t seem all that difficult for Jodi. He embraced Erin’s four eldest children, Gavin, Maicy, Gage and Merideth wholeheartedly. Erin and Jodi welcomed 4 more children into their family with the births of Jude, Maximus, Jetta and Katana. Jodi was a proud father and liked  spending time with the kids.

Jodi will be remembered for his love of his family—both growing up and as the family man he became, for his fun and light spirited personality and for his willingness to help out anyone who asked.

He was predeceased by: his father, Leslie Munroe; kookum and grandfather, Agnes and Harry Munroe; grandma and grandpa, Leila and Fred Jacobs and his uncle Gerald (Jelly Bean) Munroe.

Left to cherish his memory are: the love of his life Erin Burwash, his children Jude, Maximus, Jetta & Katana; step children Gavin, Maicy, Gage and Merideth; his mother Angie; siblings Leslie Anne Power and Jeremy Jacobs; niece Grace Dubinak and Nephew Jack Dubinak; as well as many extended family members and friends too numerous to mention by name.
