Jonathan James Robert Leask Obituary

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, nephew, and Godson.

Jonathan James Robert Leask was born on April 7, 2005 - April 26, 2026 to John Robert Curtis Leask and Susie Alice Cook.

Jonathan enjoyed being with his cuzins, sister Suzette and little brother Detroit, also spending time with Mom and Dad. He liked sports such as hockey and baseball with his uncles/cuzins. He loved to visit his family when they came into town. Jonathan learned how to make maple sugar from his Kookum Gladys, he also liked taking part in sweat lodges. He loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, picking berries, and learning how to live off the land from his mentors.

Jonathan is survived by his parents; John Robert Curtis Leask and Susie Alice Cook; Choom Roderick Cook; his baby brother Detroit Allan Leask and sister Suzette Gladys Leask; Uncles Noel Cook, Clayton Sakawakooshin, Sonny Cook, Jason (Angelique), Ben (Stephanie), Patrick (Courtney); Aunties Amanda Cook, Molly Quill, Angie (Darwin) Campbell, and Charlene Leask.

Jonathan is predeceased by his Uncle Wilbert Cook.
