With sadness and the sudden leaving of our Dad, Brother, Uncle, Choom, Lyle Bradley Leask. He leaves his daughters, Brittany Pruden (Josh) Grandchildren, Darcy (Bossy Girl), Kingsley and twins, Naliyah & Haizley. Devin Pruden (Charlie) Grandchildren, Carson, Darlynn (Princess), Carlie (Lilly) Denarys, Carlos and Devine. Tye Pruden (Alayna) grandchildren, Tahlyn and Landyn (landoo) and Avaya. He always talked about his children and choomies, how proud he was of them. “Keep dancing, young ones.”
He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He considered everyone “family.”
Surviving he leaves his brothers, Alderick (Rebecca), Alec, Robert (Leona) Sisters, Alice Gill, Sandra, Mary Lou, and Shirley (Percy) Genaille. His niece and nephew, he considered his siblings, Jennifer Leask-Bouffard and Merlin Leask. So many nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives, to many to mention.
His brothers, he enjoyed spending time with, Earl Brass, Pearly Chartrand, Henry Bourassa, Sam Gott, Frankie Gott, Augustus Chartrand and Chief Nelson Genaille.
Lyle, age 55 was born in Swan River, MB on July 20th, 1967 to Wesley Walter Leask and Nancy (Moore) Leask, whom he has now gone to join in the spirit world.
Lyle lived in Sapotaweyak Cree Nation; he worked as the Emergency Management Co-Ordinator from 2020. Worked in Wpg, MB, demolition work (2004-2016) with Paragon Industries, got his chef certificate (2011) with Patal Vocational School, volunteered at various homeless centers in Wpg, when he lived in the city.
Lyle travelled to so many places, meeting many, many friends at meetings, pow-wows, his close friends with their crazy fb posts, Gary Gott, Jerry Copapay, and Mike Campeau. Lyle enjoyed joking and making sarcastic comments, but in a good way, he liked to say whatever was on his mind. Was always teasing his many choomies and friends, his various work crews, and colleagues, Dave Gott, Leon Genaille and Margaret Cook and others.
My little brother, Lyle, you left us so suddenly, not realizing that my last time to say words to you would be my last look of you and your smile in Swan Hospital. I followed thinking to drive you home that night. Our last trip together to Brandon, I will remember forever, Meeg-wetch for always being there for us. Sis Mary Lou.
Love you forever, Sisters, Shirley, Sandra, and Alice
