Mary (Rita) Chartrand

March 23rd, 1947 – August 28th, 2023

We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie and friend.

She leaves behind her loving, devoted husband, Roy Chartrand SR. of 56 years and their children Ruth (Chris), Darryl, Rhonda (Rob), Roy Jr. (Shirley), Ryan (Chrissy), Norman (Sherri) and David.

Bomma, also leaves behind her grandchildren, Crystal, Cameron (Susie), Rory, Alex, Ashleigh (Matthew), Sydney, Madison, Claude, Owen, Kieran, Annabelle, Alexander, Darren, Abigail, Mateus, Alexis and Jackson. 4 Great grandchildren, Roanen , Justin, Kyuss, and Hunter.

Rita was predeceased by her parents Nora and Xavier, her brothers Andre “Pokes”, Thomas and Franklin. Survived by her remaining siblings; William, Joseph, Viola, Gary, Shirley-ann (Daniel) Arlene (Stan), Jean. May nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

In keeping with Rita's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 from 11AM -3PM at the Inwood Memorial Community Centre, Inwood, Manitoba.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Duck Bay, Manitoba with Father Napoleon officiating. Burial to follow in the Duck Bay Cemetery.
