It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Mary Jane Cook at 8:15 PM on Saturday December 29th, 2018 with her husband Paul Genaille by her side as well as her grandson Darren Brass; daughter Darlene Guiboche and niece Jennifer Chartrand, at the Swan River Valley Health Facility.

 

Mary Jane was born to Albert and Julian Cook on August 2, 1943 at Shoal River, Manitoba, where she was raised. Mary Jane attended residential school at Camperville, Manitoba.

 

Mary Jane loved to have company over, she liked driving around with her husband and granddaughter, little Mary Jane (MJ). She enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading and her  favorite was bingo and VLT’s with her husband Paull by her side.

 

Mary Jane resided in the hospital battling her illness for the last six months, during which she enjoyed daily visits from her husband and granddaughter. Mary Jane lived most of her life in Winnipeg, MB with Paul, until they decided to move closer to home in Swan River. Paul helped her raise her children and then later her grandchildren.

 

Mary Jane leaves to mourn her passing her spouse Paul; daughter Darlene Guiboche (Charlie) and Mavis Brass; we can not forget to mention grandson Richard Brass; nephew Ricky Mink; brother Ronald Cook; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and all of her friends, that are too numerous to mention.

 

Mary Jane was predeceased by her parents Albert and Julian Cook; daughter Eileen Brass, Sabrina Brass; brothers Johnny and Walter Cook and sisters Josephine Mink and Helen         Genaille.
