Maurice was born in Pine Creek Reserve “Smokey Island” to Caroline Neapew and Peter Bone. He was raised in Pine Creek and Mallard in his childhood days.
He came back to Camperville where he met his sweetheart Martha Lavallee, married her and had 4 children. They raised their kids in Camperville. Maurice was a good provider to his family. He worked to support his wife and children as a logger for many years. He was a skidder operator until he moved back to Camperville where he started his own taxi business. Shortly after moving back to Camperville, Maurice gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, where he served the lord with his wife until his passing. He was ordained by Pastor Marvin Simmons of Winnipeg, Manitoba. He attended the Apostolic Church in Camperville and served as an overseer for many years.
He leaves to mourn is wife Martha of 65 years, his daughter Tanya (Chris), Stacey (Ryan), also Brittney and Dewan who he also considered to be his kids. He loved his grandchildren dearly: Renita Goosehead, Sheyanne Gauthier, Shannon Gauthier, Raine Gauthier, AJ Gauthier (Shawntay), Donnelly Goosehead, Scott Goosehead. He loved his great grandchildren dearly: Rayden Goosehead (deceased), Laz Goosehead, Andrew Goosehead, Anthony Gauthier, Naveah (Baya) Gauthier, Hailey – Ricki Neapew, Kavia Singh, Zander Goosehead, Mateo Gauthier, Zane Lafforest, Dakota Gauthier and Junior Gauthier.

He is predeceased by his sons Rick and Paul, his brother John Bone, and sisters Shirley, Cecile, and Martha.
