Paul John Popoff

On November 13, 2023, Paul Popoff of Swan River, MB, formerly of Benito, MB passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Swan Valley Health Centre.

Dad was born in Whitebeech, SK to the late John and Mary Popoff. He received his education at Porcupine School.

He met and married Vera Rezansoff on June 9th, 1957. Together they raised seven children and resided in Benito, MB. Dad farmed and worked in the sawmill most of his life. He was a great musician. He played violin and had his own little band which played a lot of dances, weddings, and just for fun. Fiddling was his life. He loved to walk. He walked everyday and said he added up the miles; he could have walked to Vancouver.

Dad was predeceased by his wife Vera Popoff, son Chaude Popoff, daughter- in- law Chris Popoff, great grandson Riley Hadiken, his parents and three brothers.

 He is survived by his children Velma (Nick) Hadiken, Ward Popoff, Ruby (Ken) Homenuik, Ferlin (Lori) Popoff, Myrna (Wayne) Garreck, and Monica Popoff as well as 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

In keeping with Dads wishes cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest at a later date.
