In Remembrance

It is with great sorrow and sadness that Sandra Ferland, age 62, passed away on April 24th, 2022 .Sandra was very ill for a long time and is now at peace. She was born on March 9th,1960  in  Swan River, MB to Violet Rose Penney (deceased) and Joe Colin Kakewash (deceased). Sandra was married to her best friend and love of her life Ralph Ferland for the past 34 years but their romance began many years prior to their marriage. Never could you find Sandra and Ralph apart.

Sandra was a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother and a best friend. Sandra leaves to mourn: herbrother’s Darcey and Harvey, her daughter Jamie (Alan,), sons Stuart (Angie), Rodney (Zoe) & Justin, Rachel (Russel ),Vincent, Christopher,  Travis  grandchildren:  Sky & Raven,  Harley, Erin ,  Sarah & Darcy,  Aspyen, Allanah & Abby, Faith, Larry & Violet , Preston, Keagan, Shelby, Tyrone, Madison, Caydence, Shaunessey, Travis Jr,  Gertrude, Jude and her great grandchildren,  Kaydence & Memphis, Harley, Matteo, Presley & Sterling.  Sandra will now join family that has already been embraced by creator.

 Sandra was an amazing cook and loved to make lemon meringue pies and of course bannock. Sandra was always there for you. If you needed a hand, or a smoke, Sandra was there.  Sandra loved to fish, pick blueberries and have  cook outs at the lake. Sandra loved to play bingo and play slots. Sandra adored her grandbabies and always spoiled them in any way she could, with cuddles, snacks, toys and whatever she could. Sandra had many wonderful friends that will miss her laughter and her crazy sense of humour. Sandra was a respected Elder in her home community of Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation.
