Vernon Ross Cook

Vernon Ross Cook passed away suddenly at his home  on Friday, May 7th, 2021.

Vernon loved his children, he was always offering advice and encouragement to all. He enjoyed the outdoors, he especially liked to hunt with his buds Gerald and Gumbi. Vernon worked as a carpenter for more than 25 years.

Vernon enjoyed staying home with his children that he raised from birth.

Vernon leaves to mourn: his wife Veronica; their five children Juanita, Autumn, Mason, Jordan and Erik; sons Dakota and Keanu; daughters Cheyenne and Cree -Raine; his adopted son Thunder Gott whom he took under his wing; his brothers Faron (Marilyn), Herman (Camilla) and Dennis; his sisters Debra and Sarah and brother in law Gilbert Barker.

Vernon was predeceased by: his mother Brisine; step-dad Hector Genaille; brother Kelvin (Campoo), sister Susan; nephew Trevor; nieces Beverley, Samantha, Amanda, Sharon and grandson baby Jacquinn whom he loved very much.

Vernon had many friends and extended family in The Pas.

Vernon will be missed by all.

I’m just kinda expecting him to walk through the front door and be his usual self and like, call Chip his baby again but I know that he wouldn’t want us to be sad but I miss him a lot.  -Autumn

In keeping with traditions, a wake and funeral service will be held and Vernon will be laid to rest at Pelican Rapids,
