With much gratitude for the wonderful mother and relative that she was, the family of Ellen Doris Kilfoyle (nee Dunning) announces her passing on April 14th, 2021 at the age of 101 years. Ellen was born on April 2nd, 1920 in Macrorie, Saskatchewan to the late Ernest and Gladys Dunning.
As a young girl she moved to Bowsman with her family. In 1937 Ellen married Alex Robertson. Together they began a family and had four children. Sadly, Alex passed away in 1944. Ellen was fortunate to find love again and in 1945 she married Harris Kilfoyle. Together they added three daughters to their blended family. Harris passed away in 1979.
Ellen lived on the family farm south east of Bowsman in the Cropper Tops District until Harris’s passing at which time she relocated to Bowsman where she lived for 17 years. She then moved into Swan River where she resided at the Heritage Lodge for many years. Due to a decline in health Ellen moved into the Personal Care Home in August of 2019 where she stayed until the time of her passing.
Ellen was a homemaker for her entire life. Her hobbies varied amongst sewing, quilt making, baking, gardening, knitting, puzzles and playing Yahtzee.
