Jamie Lee Bourassa

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my son, our brother, dad, uncle, choom, cousin and friend, Jamie Lee Bourassa. Jamie was born on October 4th, 1976 to Diane Bourassa and Hubert McKay.

His exact passing in Winnipeg is unknown to us at this time. I was informed of his passing by the Swan River Detachment on October 12th, 2022. He was found on his bed at the place he was staying. Jamie had just celebrated his birthday. He was 46 years old.

Jamie had a quiet nature about him. He smiled at everyone he met. Jamie enjoyed doing art. He was talented in this area. He liked drawing profiles of his nieces and his children. Jamie worked as a carpenter in Sapotaweyak for a number of years. He was quite a handyman around SCN.

Jamie enjoyed the company of his friends and cousins, especially Aaron. He was very close with Aaron. When Aaron passed away in September of 2006, Jamie was totally devastated. He looked and felt lonesome. He was never the same after the loss of his cousin.

Jamie is survived by: his mom, Diane; brother, Troy; sisters, Miranda and Nicole; sons, Diontae and Tikkan; daughters, Christine and Gail; grandson, Jasper; aunties, Marybelle Genaille, Lynn Bourassa and Ann Bourassa; uncles, Ron Bourassa, Greg Bourassa, Gary (Carrie), Kelly Bourassa, Henry Bourassa and Leon Bourassa; his special friends and cousins, Myrna, Peter, Loretta, Ezra, Cyras, Frank, Bonnie, Chrissy, Keathon, Mercedes, Kiefer, Logan K., Israel, Enriquo, Brianna, Justice C., and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews that are too numerous to mention by name.

Jamie was predeceased by: his dad Hubert McKay and his sister  Tina Lynn Bourassa; grandparents, Alice & Solomon Bourassa; McKay family from Pine Creek, Manitoba; Uncles James Bourassa, Norbert Bourassa and Wayne Kelly John Bourassa; auntie  Bonnie Bourassa; cousins, Aaron Kelly Bourassa and Jeremiah Bourassa. If we missed anybody it was not done intentionally.
